Night of Restringing

So I decided to buy new Martin acoustic strings for my guitar tonight and restring it after realizing that this simple thing will help improve the sound alone. I've been wanting to actually invest in a new 'upgraded' acoustic/electric guitar, just waiting for the right moment. For the time being, however, this will work fine, and just in time for the upcoming open mic at Folk Music Center in Claremont. I've decided to play at least one song there, possibly one of my newer songs. I missed out on last months cause I got there too late. They said people start lining up almost an hour early to sign up! So gotta get there early this time. This will be the debut for Mayson Gray, so to speak. These new strings will definitely help in recording as well. I was also able to buy some new ear buds as well so I can listen to music on my phone, especially my own music when I'm out so I can continue to write and put down ideas. My old Altec ones got a short or something in the wires and don't work well, which is a bummer cause I paid some good money for them and they sounded great! :( But these will do for now. I admit, as much as I wish I didn't have to work and had all the time I wanted for writing and being creative, having a job IS nice cause it pays for nice stuff. lol AND the bills. Guess I'm off to bed. I wish I didn't have to sleep, I actually hate having to go to bed. :P
