So a few days ago I decided to post a teaser for a track I'm working on called Harpazo. I'm about halfway done with it but was excited about sharing it sooner so I decided to go ahead with the one minute teaser track. The word Harpazo is actually a Greek word meaning 'caught up' and is a term used to describe what's known as the rapture, an event that's described in 1 Thess. 4:16-17:
"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."
I decided to represent this with 'bright lights' in the sky taking these 'smaller lights' which represents the lights of men & women, who were lights in the world. Though the whole picture has a sort of UFOian sort of effect, it's meant to represent the intense light of God and His 'taking up' of His elect into the clouds or the sky and into His presence. I don't think anyone can really accurately depict visually what this event will look like to be honest, but our feeble minds try.
You can hear the teaser track below, which is now posted on YouTube. Hope you enjoy! :)
